Joan was an extremely talented seamstress, she was always ready to help the Yr6 children with their sewing tasks. My memory of Joan goes back to when she created all the amazing Fashion Throughout The Decades costumes for Yr6 who then put on a fashion show for parents. It would not have been an outstanding success without Joan’s dedication to the children of Westende. Joan was also a valued judge on Westende’s Got Talent, she loved being involved in all aspects of the school and was very much missed by me. Joan always had time to chat and listen nothing was too much trouble.
